Where does our help come from?

Posted on April 23, 2026July 15, 2026 by D.S.

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
    where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
    the Maker of heaven and earth. (NIV)

I will raise my eyes to the mountains;
From where will my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth. (NASB)

Psalm 121:1-2

Headspace and Heart space:

Reminded of these verses as I saw Mt. Mayapay this morning from the 7th floor of Ace Medical Center-Butuan, where my mother-in-law is confined (as shown in the photo I took myself with my phone). Just last week, I also viewed this mountain from another angle when I visited a friend’s place. At the moment, my mother-in-law is still here, resting, recovering, and I believe, healing. UPDATE: Nanay passed away on May 28.
